Blessings: What a Return Hands You

A blessing is the part of a loop you keep. Activating Return by Death rewinds the world and returns your trained growth, and the same step applies a blessing that raises your strength and grants a Divine Protection. The game hands it to you as part of the loop rather than offering a list to pick from.

What Has Been Confirmed

These rows come from the official feature listing and from reading the Return screen and effect text in recorded gameplay on 2026-09-17. Where the game does not state something, it is not listed here as if it did.

Why There Is No Blessing Tier List Yet

A ranking is only as good as the pool behind it. With one blessing read off a screen, a tier list would be a guess dressed as a table: it would rank benefits that have not been compared in play. So this page does the other half of the job players actually need — it explains where blessings come from, what the only recorded blessing did, and where to read your own effect. As more blessings are observed, they get added with the date they were read.

What Is Still Unknown

Each gap lists what is missing and where in the game you can settle it yourself. These are gaps in what has been read, not claims that something does not exist.

Planning a Loop Around the Blessing

Spend the gold before you Return

Gold on hand does not survive the loop, and every point you convert becomes permanent. Walk in with an empty purse so the strength raise lands on top of the highest stat block you can afford.

Bind the one item you cannot re-farm

A Bound Soul Crystal links one pack item to you so it comes back through death. Choosing it well matters more than choosing it late.

Return on a wall, not on a grind

If a boss has stopped your damage, the next loop brings both the accumulated stats and the new blessing back to the same fight. Farming low-yield mobs first only delays that.

Read the blessing before you spend the loop

The blessing you walk away with is part of the loop's payout, so decide your next target after you have read it rather than before.

Where the Blessing Sits in a Build

The official listing splits the 200 skills across four families: Magic, Weapons, Authorities and Divine Protections. A Return blessing lands in the last of those, which is the family built around passive and defensive effects — so a blessing tends to sit on top of your existing damage plan rather than replace it. The franchise names often used for Re:Zero protections, such as Sword Saint or Wind Evasion, come from the anime rather than from a verified in-game roster, so read the label your own blessing carries instead of assuming one of those.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you get a blessing in Re:Zero Incremental?

You get it from Return by Death. Activating the Return hands back the world, keeps your growth, and applies a blessing to the character in the same step. There is no separate blessing menu to open first.

Can you choose which blessing you get?

Nothing in the recorded Return flow offered a choice: the screen confirmed the loop and one blessing arrived with it. Whether any later unlock lets you reroll or pick is not known, so check the panel your own character shows after a Return.

What does a blessing actually do?

It raises strength and grants a Divine Protection. The first blessing read off the game screen was a Water Protection that makes water attacks miss or become dodgeable.

Is there a blessing tier list?

Not one this page can stand behind yet. A ranking needs an observed blessing pool, and only one blessing has been read off the screen so far. Until more are recorded, this page lists the confirmed parts and points you at the effect line your own character displays.

Are blessings the same thing as Divine Protections?

The game lists Divine Protections as one of its four skill families, and the Return blessing grants one of them. The blessing read on 2026-09-17 was identified as one of the Divine Protections rather than a separate system.

Know exactly what a loop keeps

The Return also decides your gold, your bound items and your story position. Check the full split before you activate one.

Blessing behaviour here reflects a recorded Return on 2026-09-17 plus the official feature listing. If a patch changes how blessings are granted, this page is corrected against the new footage and the date above is updated.
